Guild Wars 2: PvP being patched today, paid tournaments are now free

Guild Wars 2 developer ArenaNet has outlined a large list of PvP alterations in a new blog update this morning. The modifications come as part of a brand new patch, which is rolling out today.

The post explains that the studio has scrapped paid tourneys and has now replaced them with gratis tournaments consisting of either one or three rounds.

Guild Wars 2 gold players who still have Tournament Tickets can cash them in for in-game currency at the new Ticket Merchant NPC, who might be discovered subsequent to the Tournament Master in the Heart of the Mists.
